I remember the first time I heard the song, I was working at Circuit City in the music department. The song instantly caught my ear, that soulful voice, that jazzy bluesy feel to it.
you have not lived until you have heard "Once Upon a Time" by
Robert Bradley's Blackwater Suprise.

Great tune!!!!!!
Ain't it though?
Bradley’s first records with the original Blackwater Surprise led by the Nehra Brothers remain classics of the blues-rock revival–like hearing the Mississippi All-Stars with a real lead singer. But, Bradley now says, "That stuff was really kind of choreographed, to a degree. This is a lot easier, a lot less stress. Now, I’m trying to make it all about the music. That’s it." The group uses a fierce guitar attack and funky saxophone, but its melodic core comes from gospel organ riffs and orchestrated piano chords. Recording Still Lovin’ You became "a lot like playing live. I could just sing." With its gently precise backing vocals and smooth groove, "Still Lovin’ You" feels like an ancient Philly soul rediscovery. And yet, there’s still rock part: "Virginia" might be a particularly lush Bob Seger track.
